AberdourThe Fife Coastal Path leads through ornate iron work gates into the main street of Aberdour opposite the Woodside Hotel.Turn right and follow the road into the village – notice the unusual witch’s shop on the right, where you can even buy a broomstick if you feel that you could do with the extra “lift”.

Carry along the main road where the path then runs down to thAberdour Castlee sea again via Shore St. However if you have the time it is worth exploring the two medieval buildings that form the core of this historic village – Aberdour castle and St Fillan’s Kirk. There is a small charge to view the castle which is under the care of Historic Scotland. The entrance to the castle is just to the right of the clock at the end of the village.

Aberdour HarbourCarrying on down towards the shore, the Coastal Path now skirts a lovely the picturesque Aberdour harbour before heading around Hawkcraig Point. This will take you on to another small clean beach with blue flag status, Silversands Beach.
